I thought that, perhaps, working in the wedding industry could make me “hate weddings.” But it hasn’t. In fact, it may have made me like them even more.
There’s something so special, magical, and intimate about filming a wedding. You get to be a fly on the wall (at least that’s how J and I go about it for Etch…photojournalistic bitches) and document a day that the couple will never forget.
In February, we got to travel to the ACE Hotel in Palm Springs to film the wedding of our friends, Kurt and Cynthia. Take all that “special, magical, intimate” crap I just said and multiply it by 10. The bride, Cynthia, is one of my best California friends. It really was extra special to be so involved in her wedding day. I got to experience and share so much more with her than I would have as a normal guest. There were tears, there were laughs, and even an “oh shit” moment or two, that I will never forget.
It was one of the most fun, easy weddings I’ve ever been too (sort of saying a lot considering I was working at it!) and I think it really shows that in the film. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do!
So pretty, I love wedding and you did a GREAT job!

You guys KILL me! Photojournalistic bitches indeed. So, so good. You and J are both so darn talented. And it looks like it was such a beautiful day! I also can’t understand people who “hate weddings.” WTF.
I’m sorry, but who out there hates weddings? WHO? Open bar, free food, friends, family, music, dancing and LOVE. I don’t know anyone who hates a wedding (even dudes!) I think you’re hanging out with the wrong people.
you guys are SO talented! Love this.
