I was tagged by a YellowHeartArt and EHanDesigns for an 11 Things post you may have seen around blog land lately. I figured it would be a good thing for me to participate in because I want you guys to get to know me. :] (And this way the questions are already supplied which makes it a lot easier to talk about myself!) Although I’m going to bend the rules a little (forgive me?). Here we go!
11 RANDOM QUESTIONS: (from EHanDesigns)
1. What is your ideal vacation?
Anything tropical. Ideal would be a tropical place I haven’t been to (enter: Fiji or Tahiti) Give me a fruity drink on a crystal clear beach and I’m set.
2. Are you a PC or Mac person?
Well I have two Macs so I guess that makes me a Mac person. I also deal with a few PC people who like to rag on me for having Macs. All I know is that I’ve never gotten viruses on my Macs and I’ve had plenty of problems with PCs in the past.
3. What do you think is your best feature?
……….my butt. Am I allowed to say my butt? :]
4. What is your favorite color? (cliche question, I know…but I want to know…) WHY?
My favorite color is turquoise and I’ve never though about why. I guess because it is somewhere between dark and light, and can be calming but also fun at the same time.
5. If you had ONE MINUTE to evacuate your home, what would you grab? (assuming pets and children are already accounted for.)
My laptop, hardrive and camera. Would love to spring for my iMac too but it’s sort of heavy and I’d like to make it out alive (assuming this is a life or death situation!)
6. Are you the type who has to force yourself to get up and going? Or do you find you have to force yourself to sit and relax?
I am becoming more and more a morning person. I think because I get up 5 days a week for work, my body is sort of getting used to it. On the weekends sometimes I will go back to sleep but a lot of times my mind starts racing with all the things I need to do for the day so I get up to get started on them.
7. What is your career goal?
My career goal is to make a comfortable living while being self-employed. I want to continue doing what I am now with my blog and shop. One day I hope to be able to focus on them full-time.
8. Do you have any siblings? Are you close?
I don’t have any siblings. This is something that I wanted so badly as a child (and still do) that I would make up an imaginary sibling (Older brother, Michael). It’s because of this that I don’t want to have an only child of my own.
9. What is your go to source for inspiration?
I’m inspired by the blogs I follow. I’m inspired by the dreams I have for JAA. Now that I think about it, I have not lacked inspiration in a long time. I think my problem is that I’m actually too inspired and can’t find the time to make and do everything I want to do because of it.
10. If you could live anywhere else, where would it be?
Ah, what a golden question. Jordan and I sometimes talk this over. With us being in California, my family being in Michigan, and his family being in Virginia, it’s very hard to think of where we want to live. There’s the occasional “Let’s just move to Europe” and you know, if it were that easy, we probably would.
11. What blogs are you diggin’ lately?
A Beautiful Mess and Oh Hello Friend are my favorites.
That was fun! Hope you got to know me a little better. ;] I’m actually working on a FAQ post so if you have a question you’d like me to address (whether it’s blog, shop, life related, any topic is fine!) leave me a comment or e-mail me at julie.astra AT yahoo DOT com.
Have you said hello to my fantastic new March sponsors yet?? :]

I really loved reading this. Turquoise is also one of my favorite colors. It’s tranquil and pretty. I loved getting to know you better. 🙂
Thanks for sharing! It’s always great to get to know the person behind the blog a little bit more — especially questions that wouldn’t normally be addressed or though of 🙂
I’m so glad you played along, you are awesome!!! OH, and you are totally allowed to say your butt! 🙂
I’m completely agreeing with you on number nine and didn’t realize it until I read your answer. I’ve felt so amazingly inspired lately, and lacking in time to get things going that it’s almost taxing.. but I love it! Hopefully when I do finally find the time I’ll still feel so inspired, and you as well!
Too many ideas and not enough time. Welcome to
My life lady!! Xo
