Apple Crisp Recipe

So I’m pretty into baking. But the thing is, I don’t like recipes with ingredients that I’m never going to use again (unless I specifically try to find a recipe that calls for it). I like recipes that are easy. I also like recipes that taste good. Enter: my mom’s apple crisp recipe. Oh man. Super easy and super amazing. Plus I had every ingredient I needed in my cupboards (except the oats…we are eggs and bacon breakfast people.)
 What you’ll need:
5 Apples (peeled and sliced)
Lemon juice
Rolled Oats
Flour
Sugar
Cinnamon
Brown Sugar
Butter or Margarine

In a bowl, mix 4 cups of apples, 1 TB lemon juice, 1/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 TSP cinnamon.

Spray baking dish with Pam and transfer apple mixture to the dish.

In another bowl, mix 1 cup rolled oats, 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Pour mixture over the apples in the dish. Then cut up 6 TB butter or margarine and spread over top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. This is my kind of recipe….throw common stuff into a dish, put it in the oven, devour the amazingness. Your house will smell so yummy. Pair a warm slice with some vanilla ice cream and it is the perfect Thanksgiving dessert (when you aren’t a fan of pumpkin!).
