Tell us a bit about yourself and your business.
My name is Joom Klangsin and I live in San Francisco Bay Area, California with my husband and my Boston Terrier, Seven. I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Silpakorn University. After college, I worked as a graphic designer for few years before moving to San Francisco to live with my husband, who has worked in the U.S. since 1998. I am an artist and designer who love to decorate my home and do crafting work. I had some crafting experiences from working with my father’s shoe factory. Then I started to work on my own line and have a shop on Etsy since 2006.
What do you do when you’re feeling uninspired?
I usually get my inspiration from the world around me. I’m especially interested in nature, music, art and architecture. When I’m feeling uninspired, I will do gardening, shopping and traveling.
What has been your best means of promotion for your shop?
Getting people to know more about my work is really fantastic feeling. Fortunately, my works have been featured on several blogs and some magazines. The best promotion that my work was on Rachael Ray Show, on air Dec.18th 2007.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not creating?
I really enjoy cooking, do gardening and do painting and always have some tunes on.
