It was pretty gloomy in California this weekend. Just a few weeks ago I was telling Jordan that I could go for a rainy day. Now, I’m not sure if my weather desires have any impact on Mother Nature but just in case, I apologize to my fellow Californians who were hoping for another weekend of beach weather.
xo.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the sun as much as the next California girl. But maybe it’s the Michigan girl in me that needs a cloudy, rainy, chilly day once in a while. I woke up on Saturday and when I saw those clouds I just wanted to curl up on the couch and watch a movie with a warm latte by my side. (I quickly remembered that we still don’t have a coffee maker and a latte by my side would require a trip to Starbucks, which was not in my “being cozy on the couch all day” agenda. Scratch the latte.)
Now, my fellow bloggers probably know how difficult it is to sit on the couch and not work at all. I have to admit that there was a point in the day when my laptop (mysteriously?) made its way to my lap so I could work on my blog makeover. And yes, ok, I may have also packaged up a few orders from my Etsy shop. But I swear, the majority of my day was spent being lazy. Aren’t you proud? ;]
Well, I’m a fellow Californian, and I know exactly what you mean!!! Sunday we got a tiny bit of rain even…And my family had a movie day! Our whole weekend was spent doing catch-up house chores, and then – movie day. =)

I was feeling that way when it was super hot here in Vancouver, but now that it is POURING rain, I’m not so sure, haha. Taking the dogs out in this is kind of gross!
I love your cards, by the way! “You’re my favourite husband” is the cutest 🙂

I had a similar day yesterday in south florida :] and did much moping, watching breaking bad and finishing art projects. & as for your latte I found a rad recipe via random googling to make a pretty good latte using just instant coffee, milk and vanilla extract. basically you heat the water add your instant coffee and sugar not to much you can add more later. then heat the milk in a pan till it boils then add the coffee and whisk it (so you get your frothy foam) and add a teaspoon of vanilla extract and its better then starbucks. Now don’t quote me on this recipe its just what I remember from my chicken scratch when I wrote it out. I googled vanilla latte because I usually have limited materials but they have some interesting recipes 🙂

I’m glad I’m not the only one bad at the whole “lazy day” thing haha. I start out with every intention of sitting around in my PJs all day and before I know it, somehow I’m making posts, the house is clean and I’m about a week ahead on homework!
A Sweet Release
I have a major problem sitting and doing nothing….but the slightly gloomy weekend was perfect. I am from the midwest too and get SO sick of the sun. It’s just not natural!
How cute! And lazy days are the best, cuddles on the couch while watching tv series and old movies = bliss. Bonus points if there’s a boyfriend or cuddly pet involved 🙂
