“I’m Meena, the shop owner and artist behind MeKu. I have an adoration for children’s books, a love/hate relationship with coffee, and a surplus of creative energy. If I hadn’t found my niche in glass painting, I would probably be attempting every other artistic venture under the sun.

Nature, romance, nostalgia and world culture have been key inspirations for me in my art. This is apparent in my designs where you’ll see lush floral arrangements painted onto wine sets, love written in various languages upon coffee mugs, and characters from my favorite childhood story “Alice in Wonderland” depicted onto mis-matching teacups.

I recently moved from the Midwest to Los Angeles….oh you know, to see what all the hype was about. As it turns out, beaches, mountains, and warm sunshine all year round are pretty tough to beat (like, really tough). So…I’m hooked California, I’m hooked. I feel incredibly fortunate for my amazing friends and family and for the wonderful customers who enable me to create pieces of art that connect with people around the world.”
