Feeling Excited

Over the past couple weeks I have been tackling odds and ends to prepare for the release of the holiday line (today!!!). Somewhere between brainstorming promotional ideas and packaging a stock pile, I realized something…I felt something. Excitement. It was in that moment that I realized I hadn’t felt that way in a while. Admittedly, sometimes work is just….work.

But as I continued to check off my to-do list as it got closer and closer to launch day, the anticipation built and I just could not wait to be able to share what I had been working on. Keeping things under wraps is hard. But it’s also really inspiring to diligently prepare for something over a long period of time.

The time of year helps this feeling too, doesn’t it? As the weather gets cooler and Christmas gets closer, there’s something so significant about staying in and being productive. (Just remind me of that in the middle of January when it’s high Valentine’s season, will ya?)
