Our Roadtrip

I wanted to share some photos (and a video) from our trip last week. We started the trip by spending the weekend with friends in San Francisco. It was so fun to see them, since it’s a rare occasion and had we fun partying it up in the city.

On Sunday we headed to “Part 2” of the trip, that basically felt like the complete opposite of our days in SF. In our plans to drive to Yosemite, we rented a ranch in the nearby city, Mariposa. Now, I had heard all sorts of great things about Yosemite, but this ranch sort of stole the show for me. I found it online, read that it had a hot tub and a fire pit, and booked it. It was a pleasant surprise arriving at the top of a hill with acres of land and pretty views!

I was over excited about the horse shoe pits. There’s pits in the backyard of the house I grew up in. I remember my Dad teaching me how to play.

The house was about a mile hike to a private lake (with a rope swing!!!). We made the trip but the weather was still a bit chilly for that. This is definitely a place we want to return to when the weather gets warm, and with more people! The house has three bedrooms plus a fold out couch, and just in general, a LOT of space.
