Yesterday I was reading my friend Dana’s blog, The Wonder Forest, and I noticed she had a reminder at the bottom of her post that Google Reader was ending. I’ve already decided that Dana is a business genius, and I knew this was a great idea to make sure followers can still follow me when Google Reader disappears.
I did a little research, and thanks to this tutorial, I found out it was soooo easy to add an automatic signature to my new posts. (I’m not worried about the older posts so this wasn’t a big deal to me.) So in case you’d also like to remind your readers where to follow you, or even just to add a cute name signature at the bottoms of your posts, here’s what you do:
Once logged into your Blogger account, click on “Settings”, then “Posts and Comments”. You will see an “Add” button next to “Post Template”. Click this and a box will appear.
In that box, you just add whatever you want to be shown at the bottom of each of your new posts. Most likely you’d want to include an image that is linked to something, so the html you’d use would be something like this be:
Great tip! I’ll have to come back to see how to do this when I know what I want to put there later haha I’ve been putting my “signature” in manually each time, so this will really help me not to forget it! Thanks!
Great tip! I have tried this, and I can get the icon to show up, but I’d for it to be in the center of the page…mine automatically formats to the left side of the page. Any ideas?
