Unblushing began as Julie Ann Art, an Etsy shop that Julie Richardson started in 2008 in the pursuit of a creative hobby. Unknown to her, she had just taken the first steps towards becoming an accidental entrepreneur.
While she first dabbled in painting, Julie switched from canvas to cards to better establish a purpose behind her product. In designing cards, she could express herself creatively, while helping others express themselves in some of life’s most momentous occasions. Her combination of raw illustrations and irreverent wit was a refreshing take on stationery that quickly gained the attention of the internet. With features in People, Bored Panda, Refinery and more, what started as a hobby grew into a lifestyle brand sold in stores throughout the country.
In 2019, Julie Ann Art was rebranded as Unblushing to better represent the strong-willed, unapologetic voice created by Julie through stationery and gifts.
On her days off, Julie won’t say no to a beach day with her husband, mojito in hand.
